The Westlake Community Baptist Church C.L.A.S.S. Seminars

C.L.A.S.S. stands for Christian Life And Service Seminars.  These are designed to teach persons the fundamentals of the Christian faith and of life in the Body of Christ, and to do so in a way that leads people to Christ, to maturity in Christ, and ministry for Christ.

Here is a brief description of each one:

Class 101--Discovering Church Membership.  This seminar explains our salvation in Christ and the meaning of baptism and communion.  It also explains the statements, strategy, and structure of our church.  Completion of this class is now a requirement for membership in the church.

Class 201--Discovering Spiritual Maturity.  This seminar teaches the four habits necessary for spiritual growth.  Development of these habits free believers from depending on others for their growth.  Completion of Class 101 is preferred before taking this class, but it is open to all members of the church.

Class 301--Discovering My Ministry.  Most believers want to serve the Lord, but aren't sure how or where. This seminar will help each one better understand their S.H.A.P.E. for ministry--how their spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences fit them for service in the kingdom of God. This class is open to all members.

Class 401--Becoming a Contagious Christian.  Most believers also want to share their faith effectively and naturally.  This seminar will help each one make sharing their faith a part of their lifestyle--no matter who they are.  This class is open to all members.

Persons can sign up for a seminar by checking it on their worship registration form, calling the church office, or emailing the office.
